isn--name removed--there a law protecting your confedeniality in the workplace on HIV,AIDS related matters?i was working for a buisiness that brke my status causing me great greif and anxiety.can you help or advise?THANK YOU

If I read this question correctly, you have HIV/AIDS, and this was reported to someone at work for employment-related purposes. That person told other people improperly and it has had a negative impact upon your job, benefits or environment...in that case, you certainly had the right to privacy with respect to your medical conditions and employment file.

Go down to the EEOC and file a complaint after you have a decent idea of what happened, and who spilled the beans.

They will either get to the bottom of it (well, unlikely, really), or they will do a totally cursory investigation and issue you a "Right to Sue" letter, which frees you to get into court within 90 days.
