Legal Question in Disability Law in Florida

i was recently fired from a job i have had for eight years, because my boss the owner taped me on her phone without my knowledge, and i said i wish she (meaning the owner) would just go home. The next day she called me in to her office to show and let me listen to the tape and fire me (someone else was on tape but did not get fired) So my question is

IS IT LEGAL TO TAPE SOMEONE AT WORK WITHOUT THEIR KNOWING AND USE IT TO FIRE THEM?

Under Florida law generally its not legal to record someone without their permission and it is a criminal violation. For more information about your employee legal rights check our our employee rights blog www.takethisjobnshoveitblog.com.
