short term disability
i have been out of work since sept 25 07. during this time i filed short term disability and on nov 1st they finally approved my claim. but during the time i was waiting for my short term to be approved i took all of my vacation plus sick time the company gave me. Now that its time to pay out my claim they told me they wont pay me for the weeks i received vacation and sick pay. so out of the 6 weeks i was approved for i only got less than 2 weeks pay. are they allowed to do this?? and who should i be contacting to help me solve this problem. the reason i am out is because of complications with my pregnancy.

You should have applied for FMLA (Family and Medical Leave). The diability claim should have been approved retroactive. Depending on how much money is involved, you may want to contact a lawyer. If you would like to speak with my office, please call.
