Parental consent is not necessary for emancipation but a court order is. You must follow the requirement of Florida law. If you become emancipated, your parents will no longer have any responsibility to support you and will not have to provide housing. It can be a costly process and will probably require the assistance of an attorney.

You have to be old enough for a judge to emancipate you; your parents don't have to consent. But remember that they would no longer be responsible for your care. Life is hard enough without making it harder; so consult with an attorney or some other adult that can give you good advice.
