c/o
i was a correctional officer over 1 year ago i covered for another c/o under oath when interrogated the next day i went back to the inspector and gave the true statement contradicting the last on my own will.now ive been subpoena'd as a witness if i continue to tell the truth can and will they charge me with perjury. It was an assult case on an inmate the trial is to pull the c/o's certification. I've already lost my certification over it i dont want to go to prison as well.the trial is fri what should i do

You need confer privately with an attorney now who can explain your options and how this should all play out; if you had one already they would have addressed this issue already. My gut instinct is that you've already lost your certification and you're testifying truthfully in trial, which is benefiting the DA, so someone would have to be out to get you to prosecute your for perjuring yourself in the earlier hearing. Get an attorney who can talk to the DA before the trial!
