Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Florida
Eviction Appeal
We received an eviction notice that was left on our door. We are trying to find a way to delay it or something. Spoke to an attorney who only suggested a bankruptcy might delay it. Sept. 11 helped us into this mess and we are trying to find a way out. Realtor who now owns the house was verbally abusive to my mother calling us ''dead-beats'' and does not want to sell house to us.
Is there anything we can do? We are so close to getting back on our feet financially. Also, the eviction was not served with enough notice to organize counsel.

Re: Eviction Appeal
Residential evictions only require a three day notice to pay or surrender the premises. As to how to delay a proceeding, attorneys are ethically prohibited from advising you how to intentionally delay a proceeding.
