Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Florida
Where to file the writ of garnishment?
I have a judgement issued in a small claims court in IL. The debtors live, work and have a house in FL, they do not have any assets in IL.
Where do I file the Writ of Garnishment, in Civil Court in FL. or in IL? In other words, they should come in IL. again (like they came for the trial) and provide here in front of the judge the information regarding their assets, employer, bank account, or I should go in Fl. and have the hearing for Writ of Garnishment in Civil Court in Florida?

Re: Where to file the writ of garnishment?
You or your attorney needs to appear in a Florida court. First to have to have the Ill judgement recognized by Florida and second to have a Florida Court issue an Order. If you would like to discuss this in more detail you can send me an e-mail.
