Legal Question in Banking Law in Florida
My boss gave me 4 checks in advance as a type of severence pay if and when he fired me. He wrote them and signed them and did not put the date. He has fired me yet again but told me if I try to cash the checks he will have me arrested for fraud. Is there any way I could get in trouble for cashing these checks?

This is a truly strange set of circumstances. Within the limits of your question. The date of the check is negotiable. You do not need the date to cash the check and it became a negotiable instrument as soon as he signed the check. Note that you boss could stop payment on the check. You provide no information that is a basis for fraud.
