Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
bankruptcy before divorce complete
I have been separated since august 2003. My husband has aquired several debts. He wants to file bankruptcy and also list a loan and a credit card that are in my name also that he agreed to pay. Can he do that without my consent and ruin my credit also? Is there something I can do to prevent it? The house he has agreed to give to me, but the loan company will not take his name off till the divorce is final. How do I prevent him from listing this also? The divorce date is set for June 14th but he wants to file now for the bankruptcy. What can I do?
