Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Bankruptcy and Garnishment
If I have started garnishing the wages of a non Head of Household, and there are 2 payments in escrow now.
If she files chapter 7 bankruptcy, am I intitled to the money already in escrow. Can the bankruptcy stop
a garishment that has already begun?

Re: Bankruptcy and Garnishment
The funds that are in escrow could be subject to disgorgement if a Ch 7 is filed before a final order in your favor is rendered on the gmt. Try to negotiate a compromise with the debtor to dissuade her from filing, if you can.
