Bankruptcy vs Lein
If you are a business owner and have a customer who refuses to pay for services done to their home by you and you file a lein against the homeowners property, do you as the business owner have a right to compensation when the homeowner files bankruptcy after you leined their property?

Yes, if your lien is not the result of a prefertial payment, fraudulent transfer, or is not otherwise capable of being set aside by the trustee.

Normally yes, but you must take steps to protect yourself and your secured position. Go sit down with a bankruptcy attorney in your area.
