Probably, but you haven't described enough of your situation for me to give you a real answer. Check with a bankruptcy lawyer, because it very much depends on the type of bankruptcy you filed and the status of your assets and debts.

It depends primarily on the Chapter you filed. If you filed a Chapter 7 case, then what you do after the initial filing is up to you. The only negative would be if you were changing your intentions with respect to your existing house, in which case it could muck up your exemptions a bit.
If you are in a Chapter 13, then you would not be able to buy a new house without Trustee approval.
If you are represented by counsel, then you should definitely speak to your attorney before making the move.
