breached contract
If I had a contract with a company that
just went bankrupt can I seek specific
performance as a remedy? And how can
I go about it?

Bankruptcy stays all proceedings and depending on the time of bankruptcy you file, you will probably need to file a claim against the bankrupt estate first if the trustee has not discharged the debtor. I recommend you consult an Attorney or contact the bankruptcy court to have a clerk assist you with the paperwork.
