Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
checking account seized
i have a lender who has a judgement against me, we could not agree on a payment i could not afford what they wanted. i told them last week i was filing bankruptcy and even had a paralegal start the paperwork. last night they took control of my checking account, is this legal after i told them i was filing chapter 13?

The mere fact that you said you would be filing does not prevent a judgment creditor from enforcing it rights.
