Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
church property
My husband pastored a church for 20+ years. After becoming very ill, he turned over the church to our sons, who now pastor it. The title is still in our names. Due to his illness, I had to quit working to take full time care of him, which has put us in a great financial burden. I am considering filing bankruptcy, but do not want the church taken away to be sold to pay off the creditors. Is there some kind of protection for this type of property?
