Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Civil judgement with and without homestead property.
I have some exposure to being sued. I recently sold my home and moved to florida. All of my assests are in cash. If I was indeed sued, could I buy a homestead property at that time and file bankruptcy on the lawsuit judgement.

No as to bankruptcy because your prior state's law is what is used now. Possibly could protect yourself from being sued in Florida but you'd have to wait a number of years before you could file bankruptcy.
