Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
I am close to 4 years on not paying credit card debt due to financial difficulty. What is the statue of limitations in Florida? And how do i avert collection attempts as I have recently recvd a notice from the civil service dept at the county sheriff's office.

SoL is 5 years. Although you can try to avoid service, utlimately the creditor can service by publication in the Newspaper. Their filing may preserve their rights past the SoF
