Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
co-debtor
I filed bankruptcy in 2002 and it was discharged. I had a co-debtor listed on my papers. Can I attempt to collect or obtain money from him since the majority of what I filed in bankruptcy was for a business I attempted to help him start, financially? Legally, do I have any grounds to ''go after'' him?? Is there a statute of limitations as far as this is concerned? At the time I filed my attorney had mentioned a promisory note of some sort to be file against him. Your help is appreciated. Thank you.
