Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

know a couple going thru divorce and bankruptcy, my ? is: who do i talk to, to take over the home payments. They are 4 months behind. thanks. george

it depends on what type of bankruptcy they are filing, what their intention is for the home and how far into the bankruptcy they are. You may be able to contact the lender and go through the process of "buying " the home. Each lender is going to have different criteria, but you may be able to step in by "buying" the home.

Depending on your relationship with the couple you may be able to approach them with an offer of a short sale and purchase the home that way.
