Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

Credit Reporting

I filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy last year and I received my discharge in November. When reviewing my credit report, I noticed that my auto finance account was included in the bankruptcy, which is incorrect. I did not include my leased auto in the bankruptcy. My auto was listed on Schedule G, as debtor to assume lease and I signed a reaffirmation agreement.

I disputed this entry with the CRA, but they state that the finance company says that the lease was included. How can I have this entry corrected?

Re: Credit Reporting

The fact is that you did schedule the debt in your petition. You did re-affirm the debt. You can have the matter of re-affirmation included in your report by following the instructions for disputes..debtor's position.
