Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
creditors and bankruptcy
We filed bankruptcy 10/22. Credit card co. won't quit calling. I've given case #, district info numerous times (2 wks ago last time & 4 days later they left message on phone to call them again.) Today, letter arrived asking for pyment by 12/20 to stop collections. If none sent, charge-off will occur resulting in more collection efforts or sold to purchaser of delinquent cr. card debt. Is there anyway to make them leave us alone? Thanks for your help!

Re: creditors and bankruptcy
Assuming you listed this company as a creditor, send them a letter with all of the bankruptcy information. If a Trustee has been appointed, speak with the Trustee. Under law, once a bankruptcy is filed, there is an automatic stay of any proceedings to collect against you.
Good luck.
