Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Do you have to be employed to file bankruptcy in Florida? I receive a pension and social security.

To file bankruptcy in Florida, chapter 7 or 13, being employed is not a requirement. Being unemployed is a key reason for filing bankruptcy. Insolvency,inability to pay debts and basic living expenses, is the basic requirement for chapter 7 bankruptcy.
