Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
My fiance and I are planning to get married. He is going to file bankrupcy and forclousure. If we get married will they be able to come after my assets? I own my own house and have a good deal of cash.

So long as your house is deeded only in your name and other assets are not titled in his name, you are not liable for his debts. Post-marriage actions will affect liability. Also, houses in FL have liberal homestead exemptions to protect from actions by creditors or others.
