Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
I need to file for chapter 7 soon in Florida. I have two car that is fully paid off. One is 1991 Acura Legend does not run at all maybe worth $300 now, the second car is 2002 Ford Explore that is worth about $2500. That is the only vehicle I have to go to work and take my kids to school. Can I keep both cars or do I have to give up one car? I have a quote from a mechanic that the 1991 Acura is going to cost me about $1600 for a new engine. Can someone help me? Thank you.

You may be able to keep both cars, however you will loose your eligiblity to preserve other exemptions and or property. Bankruptcy is a very serious decision and the petition should be carefully prepared.
