Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
I filed for bankruptcy in 2005, but can't find any record of its recording or my records. Now on an old credit report from 2009, I see it was filed but the disposition was : M, DISMSD/CLSD CH7. A coolection co. is after me now (and says she received notice of my BK in 2005, but they proceeded to go fwd in 2008, with the collection) and I'm afraid all this time the BK didn't actually happen.(but, why would collection lady say that?) (husband at the time handled it) What should I do?

Go to the local bankruptcy clerk and ask what happened or call the attorney who filed the bankruptcy for you and find out what happened. The clerks are very friendly.
