Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

Does filing bky purge someone of a jail sentence

Briefly, my ex resided in the marital home which he was ordered not to encumber in any way-it was free and clear. He took most of the equity through a mortgage. At a motion for contempt hearing in February, the judge found him in willful civil contempt of a court order and ordered my ex to make up the deficiency amount owed to me or he is to appear at the local jail on 4/25. Ex then filed bankruptcy. Settlement on the marital home was last week and I received about half what I was awarded. Does his bky mean that not only he doesn't owe me the deficiency amt he promised the judge at the contempt hrg he would pay me and does it absolve my ex from having to appear at the Brevard County jail on 4/25? I can't afford to keep retaining attorneys - I have paid $30,000 to get $40,000. My divorce atty doesn't know what to do. What are your thoughts on this matter? The Cir.Ct. judge's J.A.she said I should file a motion for contempt.
