Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

How is my future protected,do I have any rights?

Will I be able to sell our esisting home after the Bankruptcy is over, and will I be able to buy a new one in another location thru the GI Bill(VA) Also will my 10 year old truck(Paid Off) be taken and sold?

We have a newer auto and a double wide mobile home, will we be without our car and home?

I also wonder if everyone in this small town will know about it. We live near Jacksonville,Florida, where the Federal courts are located. We have tried to pay things thru help from a agency, but things are bad, will this give us a new start,as I have a pertty good retirement from the Goverment....Thank you, this is a big step....

A "fresh start" is precisely the intent of the laws of the United States that govern debt-reorganization and discharge of debts in bankrutpcy. As soon as your case is discharged, there will be people all over the place, willing to finance whatever you want. One client, yesterday, was actually being hounded by a mortgage company to "hurry up and get the discharge through" so he could refinance his house.

You can get further information on the specifics of your case in an on-line consultation with a lawyer near you: Bill Porter. His phone/fax number is 850/539/6400. His website is http://www.portermark.com. He's very good, and very committed to helping debtors.

Good luck!
