Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
garnishments
what action can be taken against me if I cannot meet a second mortgage on a home that was forclosed upon, And the monies from the sale of said forclosed upon property was used to satisfy the first mortgor? Would the second mortgagor then be able to attach my wages? And if so, would my former spouse be equally responsable? Basically my question is: In the state of florida can wages be attached for anything other then Child Support?

Re: garnishments
Wages can be garnished for other debts other than child support such as taxes and alimony. In your case, the bank holding your mortgage will not likely garnish wages but foreclose on your home. You don't pay, you don't stay.
