What would happen to me and my house if I fail to complete my bankruptcy

I'm not sure what you mean by "fail to complete".
If you file a Chapter 7, there is very little more that you, as the debtor, needs to do to complete the case.
If you file a Chapter 13 and are not able to make the payments to complete the case, there is no penalty. Your house would be protected during the time the case is pending, and if it is dismissed then your creditors have the same rights that they would have if you had not filed. For instance, you can still fight the foreclosure in state court.
