Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
home
my husband and his parents bought a home together in Nov of 2005. My husband and I fell into financial hardship back in february of 2007 decided to file bankruptcy. We had to pay 1500 to the lawyer before we could even file the bankruptcy and in April of 2007 my husband got out of the Navy. We have relocated to Forida and the house we own remains in Colorado. His parents asked my husband to quit claim deed the house over and my husband did so after I begged him not to. We have not filed for the bankruptcy as we do not have the money to do so and we have relocated to a defferent state and our lawyer said it would be in our best interest to file in florida. how does the signing the home over to his parents affect the bankruptcy we plan to file?

Re: home
I know too little about your financiaal conditions to provide you with a meaningful reply in the space allotted. You need to at least afford a consultation with competent counsel to receive needed guidance.
The transfer by your husband to his parents may be subject to being voided by the Trustee as a fraudulent conveyance.
