Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
individual bankruptcy
My wife has $45,000 of credit card debt in her name, she can no longer work and we want to know if she can file bankruptcy in her name only and if so, is there any way that the credit card companies can come after me.

Re: individual bankruptcy
Credit card companies cannot come after you for debt that is not in your name. She should see a bankruptcy lawyer to see if she qualifies and to see if it is wise for her to file bankruptcy.
