Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Joint Ownership and Bankruptcy Laws
I share ownership on a 5th wheel RV trailer with another person (no-relationship and titled in Florida). She is filing for bancruptcy. What becomes of the RV and my half interest in it if she lists it as an asset? There are no leans on the trailer. Can I legally still use it or do the courts take it over? What are my rights as half owner of it?

Re: Joint Ownership and Bankruptcy Laws
The answer depends on a few factors such as value, location and court where bankruptcy is to be filed and how aggressive the trustee is.
