Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
judgement
I have a Judgement against me for over 5000.00 dollars and I am wanting to know if they can garnish my wages, and if so how much and would it be better to file bankrupcy instead? I live in Florida my husband is in jail so it's only my income less then 400.
00 a week I am my own supporter.

Re: judgement
Dear Friend,
The Judgment Creditor may be able to garnish your wages. Several factors must be taken into to see if you qualify for a bankruptcy but based upon the information you provided, you may. Also, you may fight the garnishment in civil court if you meet certain guidelines. However, the bankruptcy might be the preferred strategy in this case but I would need a complete evaluation. Please contact me to discuss this matter further.
