Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
I have a judgement from 2005, they recently took all the money from my account and are sending threatening letters to my widowed mother. I am a Jr. and my dad has been gone three years, how do I protect myself and my mother?

You may be able to claim that the money in the bank account were wages and that you are the head of family. Sent them a certified mail saying that your mom and deceased father have nothing to do with the debt. You may consider bankruptcy which could totally eliminate the debt. There is a special procedure for getting rid of the judgment and it is not included in the usual attorney fee paid for a chapter 7.
