Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

Is it necessary to have a lawyer?

I'm thinking of filing for chapter 7 but can't afford to hire an attorney. Is it possible to do it ourselves or are there any other means of doing it? Thanks.

Re: Is it necessary to have a lawyer?

A simple reply is, that it is not necessary to have a lawyer. Such a course is not suggested. See the Clerk of the Bankruptcy for the necessary forms.
