Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Loan on sons pickup truck
I bought a l996 Ford pickup truck for my son in l998
at the time of purchase I put a lein on the title. Dec 2000, he had to file for bankrupcy. The bankrupcy court wants me to turn the truck over to them or pay an unspecified amount(at this time). This is his only means of transportation. He has no money to buy other transportation. Is this the laws of Fla? I hired a Bankrupcy attorney but can't get much help from him.

It is difficult to advise when you have your atty working on the matter. It would help if you can reveal what he suggested.
A simple approach is to take the position that you are a secured creditor and are entitled to the collateral.
