Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

Medical Bankruptcy

In March of 2002, I became severely ill, and was admitted to a local hospital, where I was kept for almost 2 weeks. I had no medical insurance, so I have now received approximately $56,000 in bills from the hospital and the various doctors that treated me. I am unable to pay any of these bills, and several will be going to collections very shortly. A friend told me that there is such a thing as medical bankruptcy, where you are only listing medical bills, not credit cards, etc.. This was supposed to be an alternative to filing regular bankruptcy, and having your credit report affected for the next 7 years. I would like to know if such a thing really does exist, and if so, how I go about finding a lawyer to help me with this. Thank you.
