Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
My mother just passed away and left me cash and property in a trust. I live in Florida and I am only 3 months into my chapter 13 bankruptcy. Can I leave evrerything in her name until my chapter 13 is paid off so I don't have to give the trustee my inheritance?

I suggest you speak with your attorney. I will say that you have a continuing obligation to update your forms and it can be federal crime not to do so. That said, you may be able to convert to a chapter 7 and perhaps prevent creditors from attacking such an asset. There may also be reasons that you'd want to stay in the chapter 13. Therefore, you need to consult with your attorney on the best course of action.
