Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Multiple property owner served with foreclosure trying to save residence
I recently relocated to Florida from Chicago. In Chicago I held a job making $60K currently making $25K. Own a 2 flat in Chicago, mortgage payment is $2,200. Have a single family home in Florida mortgage is $755. My question is as follows I know it would be virtually impossible to save the 2 flat on my salary, however, I can pay for my home I am afraid that when the foreclosure auction takes place a lien will be place on my home for any excess. Can I file Chapter 7 keep my home and my car and start fresh.
