Notifying original creditors or collection agency
When filing bankruptcy, do you notify the original creditor, the collection agency that the debt has been turned over to, or both?

Notifying creditors or collection agency
From a technical standpoint, as long as either the creditor or the collection agency is notified, you have complied with the requirement to give notice. However, there are compelling reasons to notify both and that is considered the better practice.
