Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Personal Bankruptcy filing, as self employed couple
We are a self employed couple who have done very well in the past. Of course we brought in family members and then they left after the company started failing. The company is doing very badly - therefore so are we. We feel we can get the company back on it's feet again, but not in time to help us personally. (Our health insurance is also through the company and with 3 boys 2 of which have problems we would like to keep the business alive) If we declare bankruptcy personally, do we also have to declare bankruptcy for the Incorporated small business that we own also?

No but you must list the stock you own as an asset
