Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

personal or business bankruptcy

I own a business that is a sole proprietorship, if I file bankruptcy that includes debts from the business and my personal debts can I file one bankruptcy (personal) or do I have to file a seperate one for the business debts?

If you are a sole proprieter you can file one bankruptcy petition

An unincorporated business that you own is indistinguishable from you, personally. Your Chapter 7 filing should include the necessary schedules to reflect that you are a "debtor doing business"

You and the business are the same. You file but one petition.
