Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
I am getting ready to declare bankruptcy. I own a condo in Florida. My dad wants to get a life estate deed for his home in Florida with me as the owner when he passes. Will it effect my bankruptcy if I am listed on the life estate deed?

Yes, it is something that you will own and it can be sold by the trustee. You must list everything you own and everything you owe in your schedules, basically. If you file a chapter 7, the trustee can sell your remainderman interest out from under you. The best thing to do is to talk with a bankruptcy attorney about this.
