Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

I recently went thru a bankruptcy, I did not include my house in it but the bank did, now I am getting a statement that is not a bill stating that I'm not required to pay for the house , I make payments every month and I am wondering if I no longer own this house and am just paying rent??? Is there some way to check to see if the house is still in my name and I am not throwing my money away???

Contact the holder of your mortgage to learn the present status of your house and

loan. Check your property online to find out if a lien has been attached to the property.

Your payments should likely be stopped until you learn the status of your title and

mortgage. If foreclosure had been initiated, you would have received a complaint.

The holder of the mortgage, as a secured creditor, may have used the bankruptcy

to take title to the property, especially if you did not reaffirm the debt. If you were

represented by an attorney in bankruptcy, inquire about this matter. If you were not

represented by an attorney, you may have learned why it is generally recommended

that you be so represented.
