Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Repaid bankruptcy
The day before our bankruptcy hearing (01/27/00,
my husband's last parent was buried. Two weeks
later, an inheritance suddenly appeared of which
we knew nothing about before-hand. We
immediately told our attorney, and all the debts
were paid with this money. I wanted to at that time
to stop the bankruptcy, but my attorney wouldn't.
My question is--can we reverse this bankruptcy,
and straighten out our credit? We can't get credit,
or a better house, even though every thing is paid
and I have the papers to prove it . Our credit report
doesn't show that the debts are paid, just that we
are bankrupt or our debts were listed as
charge-offs, which they are not, but paid in full.
Thankyou in advance for your help

Re: Repaid bankruptcy
You will need to work on rebuilding your credit. It actually is pretty easy if you use the proven methods out there. Also, you need to put a statement in your credit file that all debts were paid. Anthony Comparetto, Esq., 727-328-7900 www.helpwithlaw.com
