Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
We retained an attorney in for a chapter 13 bankruptcy and have paid him $900 so far. After many phone calls and e-mails to which no one responded, his phones appear to be disconnected. Should I try to work out a payment plan with our creditors or are we locked into a signed contract if he should reappear? I know I'll probably never see my money again.

Hello:
Of primary importance is to make sure your Chapter 13 is done correctly. You can get another qualified attorney. Secondarily, you could deal with trying to get the money back.
