Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
safe to file for tax return
I filed chapter 7. It has now been discharged just a few months ago. I have no assets or property. I have filed for an extension to file my tax return at a later date so my tax return won't get taken away. I am a single mom with 2 children and just started working so i really need that tax return. When is it safe to file for my tax return so I won't get my return taken away?

If your tax return accrued prior to your filing, it properly belongs to the trustee.
