Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida

SSI Pmts after Chap13

I have a disability and have been approved for S.S. disability payments, finally. After filing for the SSI, I was denied twice and had to appeal with an attorney. During that long process I ran up my credit cards with living expenses, hoping to get the SSI to repay. I was forced to file chap 13 before knowing of my approval. I have not received any money yet and I have my final court appearance Dec 18th for the Chap 13. Do I have to inform the trustee of this money and future income? It is not enough to repay the debts.

Re: SSI Pmts after Chap13

Your SSI claim was pending when you filed. As such it should have been included in your schedules. If you failed to do so, you may be denied confirmation. I suggest you seek counsel immediately.
