Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Stipulation
I had a creditor that was going to have a judgement put against us. I called them and got talked into having them take money out of our checking account each month. I have been to the attorney and am filing a chapter 7. My attorney told me to stop the payment from coming out of my checking account for that creditor.
This morning they called and asked why I stopped payment. I told them to contact my Attorney. They figured it was for bankruptcy. They told me that since we signed a stipultion saying that if we defaulted on this they could garnish the pay. Now I am scared. I thought that once filed all judgements, garnishments etc. were to stop.
Anyone who could advise I would sure appreciate it.
Thanks in advance

Re: Stipulation
Your attorney should be capable of providing the answer you need. Ask him.
