Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Florida
Can I stop foreclosure with bankruptcy if not on note?
My mother and I own our home jointly, but I am not on the note. We are being foreclosed, and the bank's pleading has me as being on the note. My mother filed a dispute in time, but I did not, and the judge issued an order stating this. Can I delay the foreclosure in order to make arrangements to save our home through bankruptcy, even though I am not on the note and did not file a timely dispute?
